 Introduction to Ganoderma

Adult GanodermaGanoderma - What Is It ?
Ganoderma is a species name - much like saying ‘pine tree', the term Ganoderma applies to thousands of varieties of the mushroom with Red Ganoderma's being the most therapeutic, of which there are over two hundred variations.

Tell Me More...
The Ganoderma mushroom is not at all like the standard ‘button' mushrooms we are used to seeing. Most Ganoderma's resemble flat ‘ear' shaped pieces of leather, in the wild they are extremely rare and only grow under specific conditions, on particular trees and it wasn't until the 1970's that a reliable cultivation method evolved, allowing commercial farming of the mushrooms.

How Long Has Ganoderma Been Used ?
According to ancient texts, Chinese Taoists were using Lingzhi (the Chinese name for Ganoderma) 5000 years ago. Legends surrounded the mushrooms and Emperors even issued decrees making it available for Imperial use only. In the 2838 B.C. book ‘The Four Canons Of Seng-Nung', a document that lists the most beneficial therapeutic herbs, Ganoderma was listed as first choice, with Gingseng second.

Do We Know What It Does ?
For thousands of years Lingzhi was surrounded by mysteries and legends, it was seen as miraculous and rumoured to give the user immortality. It wasn't until recently that scholars in China and Japan began extensive analysis and clinical experiments in hospitals and colleges, allowing its extensive efficacy to be recognised. Such studies have shown that using Ganoderma may -

  • stimulate and enhance immunity
  • prevent and suppress cancers
  • regulate cardiovascular systems and improve metabolism
  • enhance liver detoxification, improving liver function
  • regulate endocrine systems
  • improve and normalise respiratory system, gastrointestinal functions and central nervous systems.

As more research comes to light, the benefits of Ganoderma are slowly being revealed, most studies have been done in the East, but Western medicine is beginning
to acknowledge the power of this ‘wonder herb'.

Who Or What Is DXN ?
DXN is a Malaysian based company, headed by the brilliant Dr. Lim Siow Jin. It now has a presence in over 70 countries and has been in practice for nearly fifteen years, producing a range of Ganoderma based products.

Why Choose DXN Ganoderma ?
Dr. Lim performed extensive studies and research, resulting in the identification of six Red Ganoderma (pictured below) that had the best attributes for human health and wellbeing. DXN then developed and patented a hybridising technique using tissue cultures, thus creating one Ganoderma from the six - Reishi (Royal) Ganoderma.

How Is It Manufactured - Is It Safe ?
DXN is a ‘One Dragon' company, meaning it handles the entire process from cultivation to marketing. The Reishi Ganoderma is 100% organically grown, with zero use of fertilizers, insecticides, hormones or the like. The active ingredients in the Reishi are conserved throughout processing - no compromise. Recognition of DXN's processes and products have seen them recieve certificates from Lloyds and the Australian T.G.A. amongst others.

What Makes Ganoderma So Good ?
Ultimately it is the combination of the ingredients present in the Reishi Ganoderma that make it so effective - Polysaccharides (cleansers) strengthen immunity. Organic Germanium (balancer) increases oxygen levels in the body. Adenosine (regulator) a blood tonic. Ganoderic Acid (builder) aids digestion, allergy prevention. Ganoderic Essence (regenerator) for body tissue rejuvenation.
There has been over 400 active ingredients identified in DXN's Ganoderma, all contributing to our health and wellbeing.

Is Ganoderma A Cure ?
Ganoderma and BalancedNo. Ganoderma may normalise and balance our bodies systems plus strenghten our immunity. We all have the ability to heal ourselves using our own natural immune system. By ridding ourselves of toxins and bringing our body into balance, we can achieve total wellbeing.

So All I Need For Total Good Health Is Ganoderma ?
No. It is a great start, but we need to be conscious of what we eat, how much exercise we get, whether we drink enough good water and what toxins we expose ourselves to. Simple steps to change our diet, activity levels, toxin exposure and water intake will speed us
along the road to wellbeing.
